Training the next generation of Still River Stewards

Still River Watershed Connections is a new initiative of the Housatonic Valley Association (HVA) designed to connect young people in the Danbury area with meanginful environmental restoration projects and job skill development opportunities in the watershed they call home. 

Projects we've worked on in the past include:

  • Wetland mitigation at the Still River Greenway in Brookfield

  • GPS mapping, invasive plant management and water quality monitoring at the Still River Greenway in Danbury

  • Invasive plant management and trail maintenance at Lovers Leap State Park in New Milford

  • Riparian planting at Lake Kenosia Beach
